Shash Sharma
Senior Physiotherapist
Shash is an experienced physiotherapist of 7 years with a strong passion for sport, both as an athlete and a clinician. He has worked in team environments with Sydney Scorpions Touch Football, GWS Giants AFL Academy, Hawkesbury FC, Blacktown Spartans FC, Manly Mermaids Rugby, Parramatta Two Blues Rugby, and Northwest Sydney Gridiron.
Through this experience and his years in sports and performance-focused private practice, Shash has worked with a wide range of elite athletes — from NRL players, NSW Premier First Grade cricketers, national and state representative touch footballers, and US college basketball players, to Olympian divers and gymnasts, international and national-level Olympic weightlifters, powerlifters, bodybuilders, and crossfitters. He also works extensively with everyday athletes, gym goers, office workers, and weekend warriors, giving him a broad perspective and genuine enthusiasm for solving all kinds of injuries and performance challenges.
Within this broad scope, Shash is particularly passionate about ACL and hamstring injuries, foot and ankle problems in field and court sport athletes, and cricket-specific issues such as back pain in fast bowlers or shoulder injuries in throwers.
Through sport, Shash has experienced and rehabbed many injuries himself and has a deep understanding of the athlete’s journey - he's likely felt the pain you're experiencing at some point and has fixed it on his own body. Most notably, after recently tearing his ACL, he used the setback to expand his knowledge by working with some of the best ACL practitioners worldwide, returning to competitive sport just 11 months after surgery.
